In Plano, Texas a 52-year-old Baptist minister has been arrested for soliciting s** from what he thought was a 13-year-old girl. Police, involved in this sting, say Joe David Barron used the internet to arrange to have s** with the minor.
Joe David Barron is one of 20 ministers from Prestonwood Baptist Church, the Plano mega church. The minister drove 3 hours from Plano, TX to Bryan to be with the minor. When he arrived he was promptly arrested by undercover cops. Officers searched Rev. Barron's car and found condoms, religious CDs and a webcam. Barron was taken to a nearby jail and later released on $7,000 bond.
This is a statement from Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, TX: We are disturbed and saddened by the reports we have heard and we are praying for the Barron family. We are fully cooperating with the police in their investigation.
It's obvious this minister needs help, and lots of it. He should not be around minors from now on. It's too bad he didn't practice what he preached.
