Tameka Rachelle Lewis Pleads Guilty | Spitzer Prostitution Probe

Tameka Rachelle Lewis, a booking agent at a prostitution ring that counted former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer among its clients, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to conspiracy relating to prostitution and money laundering.

Lewis, 32, was one of four people charged with running the Emperors Club VIP, a high-priced prostitution ring broken up earlier this year. She became the first of the four defendants charged in the case. Lewis could face a prison sentence of up to 25 years and has agreed to testify if need be.

According to prosecutors, Tameka Lewis did most of the booking for the ring, and her conversations with Eliot Spitzer about arranging a February 13 liaison with a prostitute in Washington were secretly recorded by the F.B.I. These were described in court papers.
