Billy Ray Defends Daughter Miley Cyrus In Vanity Fair Photos

Billy Ray Cyrus is defending his daughter, Miley, against all the complaints made on her recent Vanity Fair photo shoot. Miley Cyrus, 15, was criticized for her seemingly topless photo shoot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz.


Billy Ray said on Tuesday’s Today Show:

I didn’t know they were going to strip her down and wrap her in a blanket. I was surprised when I saw it. . . but, hey, that’s life. Stuff happens.

He adds that he never complained about the photos:

I didn’t, ‘cause my dad always said, ‘The more you stomp in poop, the more it stinks.

When the photos were first released, Miley Cyrus apologized to her fans. She said she was "embarrassed" over the risque photos.
