Scott Kalitta Crash Video Online

This was a horrific accident. The replay on a YouTube video clip is straight from the qualifying drag racing segment as Scott Kalitta races down the track, Saturday, in his DHL sponsored Funny Car. The car was traveling at approximately 300 mph. It burst into flames and exploded at the end of the track. You can see the fireball moving upwards into the sky. I can only imagine the horror experienced by the people in the stands.

The crash occurred during what is known as the final round of qualifying. The drag race is the Lucas Oil NHRA SuperNationals and the event is held in Englishtown, New Jersey at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park. The video of the crash is here.
