The 152-year-old Texas Governor's mansion was ablaze Sunday morning. Five investigators suspect arson.
After viewing video surveillance tape, state fire marshals have determined the fire was intentionally set. A team of federal officials from the U. S. Justice Department are on their way to Austin, TX to join the investigation.
At the time of the fire, the mansion was being renovated. Texas Governor Rick Perry and his wife were living elsewhere. The fire broke out at 2 a.m. ET. Quite a bit of Texas history have been saved due to the removal of all valuable furniture, art work, and artifacts from the mansion before starting the renovation.
Well... it's good to hear all was not lost and there were no human casualties.
