The long awaited trial in The Hamptons in Long Island, New York is turning out to be, as promised, salacious and vindictive. So far we have learned that Peter Cook paid around $3600 a month for internet sex and did some disgusting things with his webcam while being married to Christie Brinkley. It can only get better as the trial continues.
Christie Brinkley's loyal daughter by her second husband, the legendary singer Billy Joel, came to her mother's defense. Alexa Joel, 22, feels it's a good idea for her mother to have the divorce trial open to the press. The trial started today, Wednesday, July 2, 2008.
She's standing up for herself. I think that is admirable. There's such overwhelming support for her,says Alexa Joel.
Cook says this public trial is not in the best interest of their two minor children. Obviously, Brinkley is exhibiting the behavior of a woman scorned. She filed for divorce in 2006 after she found out Cook was having an affair with his 18-year-old assistant Diana Bianchi. According to Bianchi, Cook seduced her shortly after hiring her to work at his architectural firm.

It is clear that Christie is a bitter and conniving woman. To have your divorce splashed in the public where your children can see is horrific. Shame on her!Nowonder her other marriaages ended in divorce. Three divorces, there must be something about her.She obviously does not care about her kids.
What is more clear is her husband is a conniving sex crazed idiot who betrayed his wife and children by having this affair - what kind of low-life engages in this sort of activity (internet porn and paying a teenager to have sex with)and then acts like there was something wrong with his wife? Did he think about his children before he acted on his animal impulse? Obviously NOT! It may be painful to Brinkley to have the situation sprayed across the headlines, but if it shows the world what a scum bag Cook really is then so be it! Bring back the stockades and the scarlet letter!!!! - this is one man who deserves both.
Neither one of them are putting their children first. Shame on him for having an affair and shame on her for forcing the divorce to be open to the public. Their children's feelings should be paramount and their privacy protected. What a shame both of these adults continue to put themselves first over the best interst of their children.
