The so-called Pregnant Man has given birth to a baby girl. The 34-year-old man gave birth, June 29, at a hospital in Bend, Oregon. People magazine broke the story yesterday.
Thomas Beattie is legally a man who decided to keep his female sex organs after having his chest reconstructed and receiving testosterone therapy. He revealed his pregnancy in April and received worldwide attention.
People magazine quoted him as saying:
The only thing different about me is that I can't breastfeed my baby. But a lot of mothers don't.
Beattie had natural child birth, not by C-section. This is his first child.
