American Idol Season 8 gets halfway to the Final Top 12. Congratulations go out to Allison Iraheta, Kris Allen, and Adam Lambert. The second 3 finalists were announced Thursday night.Wednesday night, the second group of 12 contestants announced into the Final 12. The new Idol rules for 2009 are that the contestant with the highest number of votes makes it to the Final 12. The featured music was the "Billboard's Hot 100 List."
Sixteen-year-old Allison Iraheta sang Alone by Heart, Kris Allen sang Man in the Mirror by Michael Jackson, and Adam Lambert sang Satisfaction by the Rolling Stones.
The last group of 12 will perform next week and the final 3 spots in the final 12 will be the wild card choices of the judges.
