Who Got Voted Off American Idol March 26 2009?

Michael Sarver

Oil Rig worker from Jasper, TX, Michael Sarver, 27, got voted off American Idol 8, tonight, March 26 2009. There were contestants in the bottom 3. They were Matt Giraud, Scott MacIntyre, and Michael Sarver. After McIntyre was quickly announced safe, the other two guys had to sweat it out to the end of the show.

It was no surprise that Sarver did not make it to the next round. His Motown rendition of "Ain't Too Proud to Beg" was not a good pick and his performance was seriously below par. Although I think Megan Joy should have been eliminated before anybody else, there were more votes in her favor. She did a horrible job of "For Once In My Life." I don't even think that is a Motown Song. Last night was "Motown Night."

Anyway, Michael Sarver is headed home, and that leaves 9 contestants. The special performances of the night were one song from AI Season 2 winner, Reuben Studdard, a duet with Josh Stone and the brilliant songwriter and performer Smokey Robinson (from Motown), and a Motown medley by the one-and-only Stevie Wonder. Motown celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year. The founder of Motown, Barry Gordy, was there on Wednesday night. I think he sold the company a few years ago, but he has turned the original HQ in Detroit - "Hitsville" - into a Museum. It's impressive, indeed.

Check out Adam Lambert's brilliant performance on March 25 2009, Tracks of My Tears:

Out of the Top 13, eliminations have been: Jasmine Murray, Jorge Nunez, Alexis Grace, and Michael Sarver.

The remaining 9 Contestants are:
  • Adam Lambert, 26, Los Angeles, CA

  • Allison Iraheta, 16, Los Angeles, CA

  • Anoop Desai, 21, Chapel Hill, NC

  • Danny Gokey, 28, Milwaukee, WI

  • Kris Allen, 23, Conway, AR

  • Lil' Rounds, 23, Memphis, TN

  • Matt Giraud, 23, Kalamzoo, MI

  • Megan Joy, 22, Sandy, UT

  • Scott MacIntyre, 23, Scottsdale, AZ

OctoMom Fires Nurses | Gloria Allred Fights Back

Nadya Suleman aka "Octomom" provides plenty of drama. She should be having her "Reality Show" pretty soon. The latest news is that Suleman fired the Angels in Waiting nurses assigned to help with the new born Octuplets. Gloria Allred is the legal counsel for the non-profit group and she is slamming Octomom for 'treating her octuplets as"props." But Suleman says that is not so. She has accused the Angels in Waiting nurses of spying on her. Afterward, Suleman hired her own nannies through Kaiser Permanente.

At the end of this eloquent and succinct speech by Hannan, his last line was a memorable one directed at PM Gordon Brown:

Video | StepBrother Says Drew Peterson Killed Stacy

Thomas Morphey, Drew Peterson's stepbrother, was interviewed by ABC's Good Morning America this morning. Morphey says that he is certain Drew Peterson killed his wife, Stacy, in October 2007.

The Blue Barrel Incident

Morphey says that he strongly believes he helped Peterson haul a blue barrel, containing Stacy's dead body, to a waiting 'get-away' car around October 28 2007. Morphey explains it all in the video clip, below.

Peterson's brother-in-law feels he was the perfect target for Drew since he had character issues related to abuse and addiction, and Peterson was the overnight sergeant for the Bolingbrook Police Department at the time.

However, after finding out that Stacy was missing, Morphey attempted suicide by swallowing a bottle of Paxil and Xanax.

Stacy Peterson is Drew Peterson's 4th wife. The couple has 2 children. Also, there is a cloud of suspicion concerning Drew Peterson's 3rd wife's death. Kathleen Savio, Drew's 3rd wife, also had 2 children with Peterson. She was found drowned in a dry bathtub in March 2004.

Oprah and Tyra Talk Abusive Relationships | Video

In the wake of the Rihanna and Chris Brown situation where it appears Chris Brown beat Rihanna to a pulp, there was a special Oprah show devoted to abusive relationships.

Does your boyfriend, fiance, or husband criticize whatever you do or say, constantly? Are you 'backhanded' or smacked by your significant other when you "talk back" or "roll your eyes?" Are you always on the edge of your seat when your lover enters the room? Do your muscles tense when you are in the presence of the person you say you love?

If you answered "yes" to any of the questions above, you are in an abusive relationship. Women can be abusers, too. So, if you are a man who continues to be 'brow beaten,' or physically attacked by the woman in your life, then you are in an abusive relationship.

Watch the video clip, below, and start making plans to get out of that relationship. Just don't give your 'abuser' a heads up, because you might not make it out of there if you do. Go forward. Be happy...

American Idol Season 8 | March 10 2009 Video

Jasmine Murray

Jorge Nunez

Jasmine Murray and Jorge Nunez were eliminated Wednesday night as the Top 13 were cut down to 11.

Jasmine was the first to be eliminated. She sang her song one last time. But, she is young, beautiful, and determined. She has a bright future ahead of her no matter what she chooses to do in life.

Halfway through the show Jorge Nunez was called down to center stage to join Anoop Desai aka 'Anoop Dog.' Anoop was saved from elimination, which forced Nunez to sing his song and try to save his life on the show. The new rule this season is that the judges have the option to save a contestant from elimination, but they can only use it once. Of course, the 4 judges chose not to save Murray or Nunez. Actually, it's too early in the game. The judges aren't going to use that option until they reach the Top 4. At least that's my prediction.

I watched this show last Wednesday night. Murray and Nunez were not Happy Campers. And, Jasmine Murray shed some tears.

The best performance the night before was that of contestant Adam Lambert. He did an excellent job singing Michael Jackson's "Black or White." There was plenty buzz about Lambert's performance all over the internet the next day. Check it out, below:

Celeb Watch Weekly | March 15 2009

I did not find a whole lot going on this week in the "Celeb Watch" category. But, here are two interesting video clips where we are able to peek in on some TV stars. Michael Jackson Sells This Is It Tickets Fast | Video

Michael Jackson says he is the "King of Pop" and evidently thousands of MJ fans in England agree with him. After selling tickets for 50 shows, in a matter of hours, at the O2 Arena in London, England, I would have to agree, the title "King of Pop" belongs to Michael Jackson. Originally, MJ was scheduled to perform, 10 shows, for the last time in England. This is his "This Is It" concert series. But, the demand was so great MJ agreed to amp it up to 50 shows, representing each day of his life, starting July 8 2009, wrapping up in February 2010. If I'm lucky, I just might check out one of those shows. But, who am I kidding? I'm just dreaming. However, sometimes dreams come true. I'll keep wishing upon a star. We'll see what happens.

Meanwhile, check out the interview of the first ticket purchaser last week in London. CNN International scooped this story. It's worth watching:

This is it!

* The biggest audience ever to see an artist in one city.
* The most amount of people to attend a series of arena shows.
* The fastest ticket sales in history.

By the end of the 50 concerts, almost a million fans will have witnessed one of the greatest musical events in history. Michael is ‘thrilled’ by the response and wanted as many fans to share the experience with him as possible. This is the last chance to see the King of Pop in London, performing the songs we all love!~source

Howard K Stern Booked For Anna Nicole's Death | Mug Shot

Mug Shots:[left to right] Dr. Kapoor and Atty. Howard K Stern

Anna Nicole Smith's lawyer and companion, Howard K. Stern is charged with multiple felonies related to Anna Nicole Smith's death-by-overdose. He surrendered to authorities last night.

Two doctors, Dr. Kapoor and Dr. Eroschevich who wrote prescriptions for Anna Nicole Smith are also charged for participating in this conspiracy. Anna Nicole Smith died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs back in 2007 while residing in the Bahamas.

Howard K. Stern and the two doctors are facing charges of felony conspiracy to furnish drugs to the former model and reality TV star. They are accused of prescribing, administering, and/or dispensing a controlled substance to an addict.

According to California Attorney General Jerry Brown:
These individuals repeatedly and excessively furnished thousands of prescription pills to Anna Nicole Smith, often for no legitimate medical purpose. There is ample evidence that Dr. Eroshevich and Dr. Kapoor violated their ethical obligations as physicians, while Mr. Stern funneled highly addictive drugs to Ms. Smith.

Stern and Kapoor each posted $20,000 bail. They are free while awaiting trial. Dr. Eroshevich should turn herself in by Monday.

This is a developing story. I'll keep you posted by updating this page.

I'm glad the law finally caught up with these 'slime balls.' Now let's just hope they receive the right punishment. They need to be incarcerated for a good length of time. Check out the video report and the second video of an Anna Nicole Smith timeline.

Cleveland Browns WR Donte Stallworth Kills Pedestrian | Miami

Donte Stallworth, 28, a wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns was driving his Bentley early this morning, around 7 a.m. Unfortunately he struck a pedestrian with his vehicle on a busy causeway linking downtown Miami and Miami Beach. According to a police report, the 49-year-old pedestrian was pronounced dead at 8 a.m. while being treated at a Trauma Center.

According to the Associated Press (AP):
Stallworth was cooperating and no charges have been filed. Officers drew his blood to test for drugs or alcohol, which is routine, but police said it was too early to tell if Stallworth was impaired or violating traffic laws.

Stallworth signed a seven-year, $35 million contract with the Browns as a free agent before last season but hardly played because he was hurt. He was due a $4.75 million signing bonus Friday. He previously played for the New England Patriots

This is a tragedy. But, it shows that Stallworth has strong character to remain at the scene and cooperate with the police. My condolences go out to the deceased man's family and friends.

If you are wondering just who is Donte Stallworth here's a click here to see a video clip of an interview with Stallworth outside the ESPY awards show in 2007.

Video | Alabama Gunman Kills 11

Ten people were gunned down in a terrifying rampage across two Alabama counties by a lone shooter who authorities said killed his own relatives on their porch and shot apparent strangers and police before killing himself.
The shooter, who was in his mid-30s, killed five people including the wife of a local deputy sheriff and her 3-month-old baby at a mobile home in Samson, according to Wynnton Melton, mayor of nearby Geneva, Alabama.

His other victims included his own mother, two people killed at a convenience store and a man in a pickup truck who died during a car chase as the gunman apparently fired at random, said Melton.

In all 10 people plus the gunman died, according to the website of the Dothan Eagle newspaper.~source

OctoMom Gets New Home | Nadya Suleman

The Suleman family is buying a house in Orange County, Calif., that's nearly twice as large as the one where Nadya, 33, the mother of the U.S.'s longest-surviving octuplets, lives with her six older children in Whittier.~source

Nadya Suleman's father is purchasing the house and Dr. Phil came to the rescue and brokered a deal so that the octuplets will be cared for once they are released from the hospital. The eight newborn babies will have 24/7 care by 14 nurses, 4 to 5 nurses per shift. This care will be provided, free of charge, by a non-profit organization working with the famous attorney Gloria Alred.
The neonatal intensive care nurses specialize in premature infant developmental care, says Linda Conforti West, CEO and founder of Angels in Waiting. The agency would have 14 nurses a day, four to five at a time, working around the clock, representatives recently told PEOPLE. Normally, they say, that kind of care would cost about $135,000 a month. The nurses' salaries are paid by the organization.
~source
This organization has provided care for single mothers needing help with newborns. They have done great work in the past. This is a service that is sorely needed nationally. This is a wonderful arrangement for the octuplets and it will avoid a potentially chaotic situation for Suleman's other 6 children.

Video | Oprah Warns Rihanna

On Friday, Oprah and her weekly panel contributors, including guest panelist Tyler Perry, each gave their '2-cents' on the Chris Brown-Rihanna situation.

Gayle King read some highlighted parts of the police report and some good points were brought out by other panelists, although one panelist made some outrageous remarks about Chris Brown jet skiing and 'looking at another woman's tush.' That was totally off-topic. It had nothing to do with Brown's assault on Rihanna. And, Oprah says she wants to get the point across to the "Rihannas of the world." That's another thing... I'm sure Rihanna doesn't want her name to be so closely tied with 'domestic violence.' Women experiencing 'domestic violence' are not the 'Rihannas of the world.' These women are 'victims in our world,' which is unfortunate.

However, Oprah made a good point. She gave a few words of warning. Oprah said:
If a man hits you once, he will hit you again.

Popular Pastor Slain | Maryville Illinois | Video Repot

Congregants gather for memorial service to remember pastor killed in gun attack early Sunday morning at the First Baptist Church in Maryville, Ill.

Just after a church skit had ended a 27-year-old gunman walked down the aisle of a church during a Sunday service and killed the pastor, then after his gun jammed, stabbed himself and slashed two other people as 2 church members wrestled him to the ground, authorities said. The gunman and one church member are in critical condition at a local hospital. The other churchgoer was treated and released.

According to authorities, the pastor and the suspect exchanged words before the gunman fired 4 shots at the pastor. The pastor, 45-year-old Fred Winters, was able to deflect a bullet with his Bible and the pages exploded resembling confetti. Some church members thought it was part of the skit.

There were about 150 in church at the time. Rev. Winters has been a pastor of this church for 22 years. Under his leadership the church membership grew from around 37 to over a thousand.

At this time, Local law enforcement are unsure of the gunman's motive.

Family Calls Off Search For NFL Players Lost At Sea | Video

It's been a week since the four friends, including 2 NFL players, were out deep sea fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. They were reported missing around 1 a.m. last Sunday morning. One passenger was found alive Tuesday afternoon.

After the Coast Guard called off the search Wednesday, the families of the 3 missing young men enlisted private pilots and boaters to help in the search. Now the families are going through the healing process, according to Marquis Cooper's father, Bruce Cooper. Marquis was the owner of the 21-foot boat.

However, commercial fishermen are keeping a look out for any signs of the missing men. It would help the family to find closure if the remains of the men could be found. But, in that vast ocean it might not be possible. This is such a tragedy. My prayers are with all families involved.

Coast Guard Calls Off Search | NFL Players Lost At Sea

Marquis Cooper's father, Brice Cooper, spoke to the media about the families of the 3 young football players lost at sea. One player, Nick Schuyler was rescued by the Coast Guard Monday afternoon after being found hanging on to the engine of the capsized boat in the Gulf of Mexico 45 miles from shore.

The U.S Coast Guard said Tuesday that the chances Detroit Lion Corey Smith, Oakland Raider Marquis Cooper, and fellow boater Will Bleakley will ever be found went from slim to none on that evening as they called off their search for the missing boaters at sunset. The reaction from the families of the missing men were very emotional. Mr. Cooper talks about it on the video clip, below.

Schuyler told Coast Guard investigators a strange story about the fate of the others, according to family members of two of the missing men. However, they said, given Schuyler’s condition when rescued after two days on the sea in cold weather, he may have been delusional.

Schuyler told investigators that about two to four hours after their boat flipped in rough seas, one of the two National Football League players on board gave up hope and let himself be swept away, according to relatives briefed by the Coast Guard.

A few hours later, the second one did the same.

“We were told that Nick said the two NFL players took their life jackets off and drifted out to sea,” said Bob Bleakley, whose son Will, 25, a former University of South Florida football player, is also still missing.

Then, sometime early Monday, Will Bleakley thought he saw a light in the distance. He decided to take off his life jacket and swim to it, hoping to get help, Bob Bleakley said Schuyler told the investigators.

“I think he was delusional to think he could swim someplace,” Bob Bleakley said.~source

Later, Nick Schuyler, 24, told Will Bleakley's father that Will Bleakley died in his arms. Nick Schuyler's stories are not matching up. Why would he say Will Bleakley took off his life jacket and tried to swim to shore, then hours later say Bleakley died in his arms? Maybe his contradictory remarks are caused by his suffering from hypothermia?

Families and friends of the missing men said they will continue the search using their own resources. UPDATE: FAMILY CALLS OFF SEARCH

Michael Steele Apologizes to Rush Limbaugh

Wow... this is some good stuff. Rush Limbaugh has spoken. He is a very powerful man within the Republican Party, and don't you forget it. With 20 million listeners to his conservative Radio Talk Show you would think his colleagues would think twice, maybe 4 times, before criticizing or ridiculing him. It is not good for your career.

I've read reports that Rush Limbaugh was kind to Michael Steele in the past. He even supported Steele's past candidacy and had him on his radio talk show. And Steele was a regular political pundit on the conservative TV Station Fox News. Now, with his background, why do you think Steele appeared on CNN trashing his fellow Republican, Rush Limbaugh? Maybe Steele is trying to straddle the fence, or just trying to make piece with the Democrats since they now are in power. Well, this goes to show that you've got to stand for 'something' or you will fall for 'anything.' A man of principle, no matter the party affiliation, is a man I can admire.

Let's view the video 'timeline.' The first clip is a snippet of the new RNC chairman Michael Steele's appearance on CNN where he said that he is the 'de facto leader of the Republican Party,' not Rush Limbaugh, and he went on to shoot himself in the foot by calling Rush Limbaugh an 'entertainer,' which means that Limbaugh should not be taken seriously. Since Limbaugh is seen as a polarizing figure in the Republican Party, the Democrats enjoyed watching this fight.

The second video clip is Limbaugh's response to Michael Steele's remarks. After Limbaugh finished his radio 'rant,' Steele issued an apology. He told Limbaugh he was 'sorry:'
Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele says he has reached out to Rush Limbaugh to tell him he meant no offense when he referred to the popular conservative radio host as an “entertainer” whose show can be “incendiary.”

“My intent was not to go after Rush – I have enormous respect for Rush Limbaugh,” Steele said in a telephone interview. “I was maybe a little bit inarticulate. … There was no attempt on my part to diminish his voice or his leadership.”

The dust-up comes at a time when top Democrats are trying to make Limbaugh the face of the Republican Party, in part by using ads funded by labor. Americans United for Change sent a fund-raising e-mail Monday that begins: “The Republican Party has turned into the Rush Limbaugh Party.” ~source

Breaking: Man Rescued | 2 NFL Players and One Other Man Missing

Photo: Reuters

Photo: Reuters

The Coast Guard located the missing boat. One of the four missing men, former University of South Florida football player Nick Schuyler, was rescued after the Coast Guard found him clinging to the engine of the 21-foot capsized boat in the Gulf of Mexico. He was weak, but said that the other 3 friends of his were holding on for quite a while after the accident but somehow everyone was separated. Schuyler was airlifted out of the area and is recuperating at hospital. According to Schuyler's father, his son is dehydrated with cuts and bruises but will pull out of this in good physical condition. No word, as of this reporting, on the other 3 men. I hope they will be found alive, soon.

Nick Schuyler, 2 NFL players -- Marquis Cooper and Corey Smith, and another former University football player, William Bleakley, went missing after they left Clearwater, Florida on a fishing trip Saturday morning and did not return.

Schuyler said the boat was anchored when it flipped Saturday evening in rough seas. The other men apparently got separated from the boat.

NFL Players Missing at Sea

UPDATE: MISSING BOAT AND ONE MAN FOUND ALIVE!

NFL players Corey Smith & Marquis Cooper are among four boaters that remain missing since Saturday night off Florida’s Gulf Coast:

Oakland Raiders linebacker Marquis Cooper and NFL free agent Corey Smith, who played for the Detroit Lions for the past three seasons, have not returned from a Saturday fishing trip in water off Clearwater, Florida, family members and colleagues said Sunday.

“It feels like my greatest fear coming true — it doesn’t feel real,” Cooper’s wife, Rebekah, told CNN affiliate WTSP in Tampa on Sunday afternoon. “I’m just waiting for a phone call.”

The Coast Guard began searching around 2 a.m. Sunday after it learned that four men — Cooper, Smith, and former University of South Florida football players William Bleakley and Nick Schuyler — had not returned from their fishing trip Saturday evening as expected.~source

Raw Video | Seattle Cop Beat Down 15-Year-Old Girl In Holding Cell

This raw video, captured by a surveillance camera, was released from Seattle, Washington. It shows a violent confrontation between two King County sheriff's deputies and a 15-year-old girl inside a jail cell. One deputy has been charged with assault.

The girl flicked her shoe at the officer and he slammed her something awful. Cops are under tremendous stress, but this cop was wrong in his reaction. And the other cop just cooperated without any question. The cop that assaulted the child pleads 'not guilty.'

According to some reports I've read, the girl was placed in the holding cell because she served as the 'look-out' for her boyfriend while he attempted to steal a vehicle.

Supporters Rally Behind Senator Burris | Video

In Chicago, Sunday, Senator Burris was surrounded by supporters and said that he would not step down. Some Democratic lawmakers in Washington, DC have repeatedly called for Roland Burris to step down. They claim Burris might have committed perjury while under oath to the Impeachment Panel in Illinois last year. The video above explains what is going on at this time.

Celeb Watch Weekly | March 1 2009

It's the weekend and it's all about Celeb Watch. I could not locate any video on the Chris Brown/Rihanna reunion. They are ensconced at one of P-Diddy's mansions. I'm sure we'll hear more about those two lovebirds in a few days since Chris Brown is due in court on March 5.

I found three pretty good video clips on some of our favorite celebrities:

1st clip: New celebrity 'Octo-mom' Nadya Suleman goes to the Rolling Hills park with 5 of her 14 children, her dad, Ed Doud, and other unidentified males. Suleman gave birth to Octuplets on January 26th. The birth of the octuplets, which is only the second such case of a live octuplet birth in the United States, has raised controversies regarding their mother's decision to have a large family while having a single-mom status and being unemployed.

2nd clip: Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen tie the knot in an intimate ceremony in Santa Monica, California.

3rd clip: Jonas Brothers fans squealed with delight inside Hollywood's El Capitan Theater Thursday night when the boys made a special surprise appearance at the debut screening of their new movie 'Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience.' Enjoy!
