Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig Interrupted by Cell Phone | Video

Hugh Jackman
Wolverine and James Bond are not to be messed with, especially when they're doing the whole acting thing.

Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig were trying to perform their play "A Steady Rain" Wednesday night in NYC -- but a very rude person in the audience did not turn off his cell phone.

We need to go back to taking "etiquette lessons" in our society today. It's amazing how people have no manners, are not civil, and accept the fact that being rude is the norm. It's disgusting. If things keep escalating, only a chaotic society will follow.

However, Jackman set the man straight -- staying in character all the while. Minutes later, the ring tone echoed through the theater again and Craig's response was Tony-worthy. Check out the video, below:

Breaking: Fugitive Filmmaker Roman Polanski Arrested | Video

Roman Polanski, Photo: WENN

Celebrated and controversial filmmaker, Roman Polanski, was arrested in Switzerland last night. He was taken into custody, after arriving in anticipation of receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Zurich Film Festival scheduled for Sunday, September 27 2009.

U.S. authorities have sought the arrest of the 76-year-old director since 2005 for a 1978 U.S. warrant which was issued after Polanski pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old girl. Before sentencing in 1978 Polanski fled to France.

Polanski has tried to have his case thrown out in recent months, but a U.S. judge formally rejected his request in May 2009. The U.S. now needs to make a formal extradition request, according to Switzerland authorities.

Roman Polanski is the director of two American Classics: Rosemary's Baby (1968) and Chinatown (1974). And he received a directing Oscar in absentia for the 2002 movie The Pianist.

What do I think? Well... I think that even though Polanski is a brilliant filmmmaker, I loved each of those movies mentioned above, he should be extradited to USA and face the music, so to speak. It doesn't matter if his victim, 31 years later, wants all charges dropped. That's the bottom line. It's time to "pay the piper."

Watch Kanye West's apology on the new Jay Leno Show. Kanye West appeared sincere when he indicated that he robbed Taylor Swift of her moment after winning "Best Female Video" at the MTV Video Music Awards show Sunday night. Check out the apology and you decide if he appears sincere or not. Kanye West seems to have a strong fan base, so I don't this outburst, one of many, will cost him his career. But, he needs anger management counseling.

Kanye West Interrupts Taylor Swift | MTV-VMA | Video

What's with Kanye West? He jumped onstage during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for Best Female Video, grabbed her microphone, and declared Beyonce’s video one of the best of all time.

Taylor Swift appeared to be in shock. The crowd gave her a standing ovation as she left the stage, and later booed when Kany's name was mentioned. Maybe this was a publicity stunt, or does Kanye West really have 'loose marbles' in that genius head of his?

Video | Serena Williams Verbally Abuses Linesman at US Open

Serena Williams was caught on tape verbally abusing a 'linesman' who made a bad call on the number 2 world ranked women's tennis player. The Linesman called a "foot fault" on Serena's serve when it was clearly not the case shown during the slow motion replay of the serve.

Kim Clijsters, from Belgium, won the first set and was leading 6-5 in the second set. This was Serna's second warning on tournament code of conduct after banging her racket when she lost the first set.

This is some of what Serena Williams shouted to the linesman after that "foot fault" call:
I swear to god I’m f***kin going to take this ball and shove it down your f**kin mouth.

Chair umpire calls the linesman and asks her what Serena told her, and then calls the tournament officials. Serena is called to the chair and is heard saying:
I didn’t say I was going to kill you.

Officials talk to Serena, telling her she was just handed a point penalty for her second violation of tournament code of conduct. After that, Serena goes over to Kim to shake her hand. Game over. Kim Clijsters wins the match.

"Arthur Ashe" would be disappointed in Serena Williams. Ashe never lost his cool.

John McEnroe, of all people, later says:
"You can’t defend the indefensible." Sure it was a bad call, but you can’t just shoot off your mouth like that in a public match and not expect some consequences.

Joe Wilson To President Obama: You Lie!

Okay, here is a good copy of that infamous shout last night. Rep Joe Wilson (R-SC) yells out "You Lie!" to President Obama during Obama's Health Care Speech to Congress. He shouted those two words after Obama denied that his health care proposal would cover illegal immigrants.
Rep Joe Wilson (R-SC)
Earlier today Rep Joe Wilson issued an apology. This is Rep. Joe Wilson’s official statement, as reported by Politico:
This evening I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the President’s remarks regarding the coverage of illegal immigrants in the health care bill. While I disagree with the President’s statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the President for this lack of civility.

Punch Thrown | Oregon vs Boise State | Video

Photo: AP/ESPN

Boise State defeated Oregon, 19-8, Thursday night, September 3 2009. But a punch thrown after the whistle is drawing tremendous buzz across the internet.

After the game, starting tailback LeGarrette Blount threw a punch at Boise State player, Byron Hout. This was done right after Hunt taunted the losing player and tapped Blount on the shoulder. Blount went beserk and 'sucker punched' Hout to his knees in record time.

Then, the Oregon attacker went after some Broncos fans. Some folks are saying that the fans in the stands were shouting racial slurs. I don't know. But, it was ugly.
Oregon suspended running back LeGarrette Blount on Friday for the remainder of season for punching Boise State defensive end Byron Hout.

Blount's suspension includes any bowl games. Coach Chip Kelly said Blount will remain on scholarship.

Hout will not be suspended for taunting Blount. Boise State spokesman Max Corbet told The Associated Press in an e-mail that Petersen planned to spend time with Hout this week to help him learn from what happened.

After the game, Blount apologized for his actions.

"It was just something that I shouldn't have done," said Blount, who had eight carries for a loss of five yards. "I lost my head."~source

Michael Jackson Entombed | Forest Lawn

Michael Jackson, "King of Pop," was laid to rest, September 3 2009, at Forest Lawn Glendale mausoleum. His funeral service, attended by close friends and relatives, was held outside of the mausoleum.
Gladys Knight sang "His Eye is on the Sparrow," and Clifton Davis sang "Never Can Say Goodbye," a tune he wrote for the Jackson 5. A minister spoke briefly.

Friends of the Jackson family were invited to speak and several did, telling of their admiration of the Jacksons, who raised themselves up from poverty. They recalled Michael Jackson's sense of humor — if he were here today, they said, he would be laughing and smiling. Elizabeth Taylor and Macaulay Culkin were in attendance. The service was to begin at 7 pm PT, but the Jackson family did not arrive until 8:30 pm. No explanation was given for the delay. No one knows what goes on behind closed doors and I can only imagine the logistics involved in planning a private ceremony for a loved one who was 'bigger than life.'

Afterward, the mourners stood and followed the crowned, lushly flower-draped casket as his five brothers — each wearing a bright red tie and a single crystal-studded glove — carried it into the mausoleum. The guest said Katherine Jackson had a difficult time going into the mausoleum; she was overcome and turned back, and it wasn't clear if she went in at all.

The King of Pop died a drug-induced death June 25 at age 50 as he was about to embark on a comeback attempt. The coroner's office has labeled the death a homicide, and Jackson's death certificate lists "injection by another" as the cause.

Dr. Conrad Murray, Jackson's personal physician, told detectives he gave the singer a series of sedatives and the powerful anesthetic propofol to help him sleep. But prosecutors are still investigating, and no charges have been filed. ~source

Breaking: Charlie Gibson Retires | Diane Sawyer Steps In | ABC

Photo: WENN

It seems a little early to retire as news anchor of 'ABC's World News' but Charlie Gibson announced today that he is retiring and the network revealed that Gibson will be passing the torch to 'Good Morning America' host, Diane Sawyer, in January, 2010. I guess he wanted to start fresh with his new life, in the second decade of the 21st century, after almost 35 years with ABC.

Gibson has been the evening news anchor since May 2006. This is part of what he wrote in an e-mail to the "World News" staff:
This has been my professional home for almost 35 years. And I love this news department, and all who work in it, to the depths of my soul.
Well... I wish him the best in his years of retirement. I'm sure he could use some well deserved "R & R." And congratulations go out to Diane Sawyer in her upcoming new position. I just wonder who will replace her at "Good Morning America?"
