Monique's Brother Gerald Imes Admits To Molestation | Video

Gerald Imes, the brother of Oscar Winner Mo’Nique, has admitted to molesting the actress when he was 13 and Monique was around 7 years of age. I watched Oprah's interview with Gerald Imes, where Imes apologized to Mo’Nique and talked about his sordid past. Also, it was revealed that this molesting brother served at least a dozen years in prison for molesting someone else in the past.

Gerald Imes said he was sexually abused as a child, however he gave no hint or description in referring to his abusers. He did say there were more than one.

His abuse of his sister, Mo'Nique, lasted about 2 years, according to Imes:

I abused and betrayed the trust of another sibling, my sister, my blood sister. I’m sorry Mo’Nique. I’m sorry. Hopefully, somewhere, somehow, as siblings, we can come back together as brother and sister.

I don't know if Gerald Imes is telling the truth about being molested himself, but he exhibits the classic behavior and body language of a "control freak" and "misogynist." This guy was kind of creepy. And Mo'Nique and Gerald's poor parents just want this whole thing to go away.

According to the parents, Mo'Nique has hurt the whole family with this revelation going global. Mon'Nique's mom said that the last time she spoke with her daughter was 2.5 years ago. Mo'Nique cut off communicating with her family years ago. Now she has returned, in a way, to haunt their every step...
